New Castle County officer injured in Newark crash

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- A New Castle County police officer is on the mend after getting into an accident in Delaware.

The officer's cruiser and another car collided along Route 2 near Meadowood Drive in Newark around 9 p.m. Monday.

The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other car was treated at the scene.
