LAKEWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Officials say Ebola has been ruled out for a man who was hospitalized as a precaution in Lakewood, New Jersey.
A hazmat crew was called early Wednesday morning to the man's condo complex at Squankum Road and East Kennedy Boulevard.
Officials did not believe the man had Ebola, but he was taken to Monmouth Medical Center to be checked.
The man returned from Africa within the last month, then developed a fever and vomiting but Ebola has been ruled out.
He is being treated for a non-contagious, travel related illness, officials say.
