MAPLE SHADE, N.J. (WPVI) -- A car crash knocked out power along Route 73 in South Jersey.

It happened in the westbound lanes at East Main Street in Maple Shade around midnight Friday.

Police say a driver lost control and crashed into a utility pole sparking a transformer fire.

The fire knocked out power to the traffic lights in the area.

Two people were hurt in the crash and were taken to the hospital.
