2 killed in fiery crash in Woodbridge, New Jersey

WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (WPVI) -- At least 2 people were killed and 6 others injured in a fiery accident involving seven vehicles on Route 440 in Woodbridge, New Jersey early Friday.

The accident happened shortly after 6:00 a.m. on southbound Route 440 near the I-287 split.

Southbound left and center lanes of Route 440 were closed east of New Jersey Turnpike/I-287 in Edison because of the accident. Expect major delays in the area and plan alternate routes, police said.

The six people taken to the hospital are said to have non-life threatening injuries.

State police are investigating the accident.
