New Year's Eve provided cover for a huge jewelry heist in New York City.

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (WPVI) -- New Year's Eve provided cover for a huge jewelry heist in New York City.

It happened in the offices of a high-end jewelry designer in Midtown, Manhattan at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday.

Surveillance video shows two of the three thieves using a hammer and a crowbar to bust through the door.

Detectives say they took off with about $6 million worth of jewels.
