1 dead, 1 critical in Port Richmond shooting

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- One person is dead and another is critical after a shooting in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.

The double shooting occurred around 8:20 p.m. Monday at Frankford Avenue and Monmouth Street.

Both victims were taken to Temple University Hospital.

Police say one of the victims, a man in his mid-20s, suffered multiple wounds and died at the hospital.

The second victim is in critical condition.

The suspected shooter fled the area and remains at large.

Police say they have recovered surveillance video they hope will aid them in the investigation.
