Juvenile arrested in fatal shooting in Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police arrested a juvenile male in a fatal shooting of another juvenile, three months earlier, in Pleasantville.

The male is facing multiple charges including murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Police responded on Aug. 7 to the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue for a report of a body found lying in the field in Max Manning Park.

The victim was a 17-year-old Pleasantville male with multiple gunshot wounds.

An autopsy determined the manner of death to be a homicide.

The male was arrested Thursday without incident at his Sicklerville school, following a three-month investigation.

He is lodged in a juvenile detention center, and scheduled for a court appearance on Friday.
