Man attacked, robbed at gunpoint in North Philadelphia

Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly attacked and robbed a man at gunpoint in North Philadelphia last month.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly attacked and robbed a man at gunpoint in North Philadelphia last month.

It happened shortly after midnight back on September 27.

Police say the 20-year-old male victim was on the 1700 block of North Gratz Street when an unknown male ran out from an empty lot and tackled him to the ground.

The suspect put a gun to the man's head and demanded his belongings.

He got away with the victim's wallet and cell phone before fleeing on the 1900 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

Shortly after the robbery, the suspect was caught on surveillance using the victim's credit cards at a corner store on the 1500 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

Police describe the suspect as a black male in his 20s with a medium build and light complexion and a goatee. He was wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, and camouflage pants.
