Man shot twice while driving in Kensington

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- A driver is in critical condition after being shot twice while he was behind the wheel in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

The shooting happened around 11:50 p.m. Saturday on East Albert Street near Kensington Avenue.

Police say two bullets went through the windshield and struck the 32-year-old man.

The injured driver drove himself to St Christopher's Hospital for Children on Lehigh Avenue; he was later transferred to Temple University Hospital Episcopal Campus.

There is no word if the victim was the intended target.

Police are searching for the shooter.
