NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Temple University students and staff are demanding a higher minimum wage for campus workers.

Advocates gathered for a rally at the Bell Tower immediately before Temple's Board of Trustees meeting Tuesday.

They believe all campus employees including student workers should earn at least $15 an hour.

They asked Temple leaders to follow in the footsteps of schools like the University of California, which hiked wages to $15 an hour over the summer.
