Woman fatally shot in head in Nicetown Park

NICETOWN (WPVI) -- A 26-year-old woman was fatally shot Saturday night in the city's Nicetown section.

The shooting happened around 11:40 p.m. in the 4300 block of North 17th Street in Nicetown Park.

Police said they found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

She was rushed to Einstein Medical Center where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

So far, no arrests or motive.
