3 vehicles collide on Cottman Ave. in NE Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Rescue crews responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident in Northeast Philadelphia Friday afternoon.

The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Cottman Avenue and the Roosevelt Boulevard.

Three vehicles, two cars and an SUV, collided along Cottman Avenue.

Crews worked to extricate the occupant of one of the vehicles involved.

A 49-year-old man was transported to Aria Torresdale Hospital as a trauma alert.

There is no word on additional injuries at this time.
