2 families displaced by 3-alarm Coatesville fire

COATESVILLE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire in Coatesville, Chester County.

The fire broke out around noon Thursday on the 800 block of Merchant Street.

A second alarm was quickly struck.

The American Red Cross says the fire reached three alarms.

The fire was placed under control just after 1:00 p.m.

The Red Cross is assisting two families affected by the blaze.

There are no reports of injuries.
