Woman struck, killed by SEPTA train in Montgomery County

SEPTA officials are investigating after a woman was struck and killed on the Norristown Commuter Rail Line in Montgomery County.

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. (WPVI) -- SEPTA officials are investigating after a woman was struck and killed on the Norristown Commuter Rail Line in Montgomery County.

It happened around 10 p.m. Sunday near the 500 block of Washington Street in Conshohocken.

Police said the woman was trespassing when she was hit by a train traveling from Norristown to Center City between the Spring Mill and Conshohocken stations.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, there is no service on that line as officials investigate the crash.
