Woman and man injured in Frankford shootings

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- Police are investigating two shootings in Philadelphia's Frankford section.

The incident happened before 7 p.m. Tuesday along the 1700 block of Bridge Street.

Police say someone opened fired on a 27-year-old woman. She was struck in the thigh.

The victim was taken to Aria Hospital Torresdale in stable condition.

The second victim, a 23-year-old man showed up at the Aria Hospital Frankford campus. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks. He is also stable.

It's not clear if the two shootings are connected.

Police have not recovered a weapon, and so far, no arrests.
