Eagles agree to 3 year deal with Brent Celek

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms on a three-year contract with tight end Brent Celek.

Celek, a nine-year veteran, will remain in Philadelphia through 2018.

The 31-year-old was originally a fifth-round selection of the Eagles in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Celek has appeared in 149 career games with 120 starts for the Eagles, including in the playoffs.

Currently the second-longest tenured Eagle, Celek has missed just one game during his pro career.

He has compiled 371 catches for 4,713 yards and 30 touchdowns in 143 regular-season games.

In 2015, Celek tallied 27 receptions for 398 yards and three touchdowns.

Celek ranks second all-time among Eagles tight ends in receiving yards, receptions and receiving touchdowns, trailing only Eagles Hall of Famer Pete Retzlaff in the three categories.
