PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- A water main break caused quite a mess in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.

The break happened around 2 p.m. Thursday on the 3700 block of Frankford Avenue.

Crews from the Philadelphia Water Department responded to the scene to repair the main.

They say it's an 8 to 12 inch pipe that broke.

Traffic in the area has been re-routed while repairs are made.
