Pedestrian critical in Newark, Del. accident

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- A pedestrian is critical after being struck by a vehicle in Newark, Delaware.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in front of the Harmony Plaza shopping center located along Ogletown Road near Harmony Road.

The pedestrian was rushed to nearby Christiana Hospital for care.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene.
