Arrest made in Frankford murder of transgender woman

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- Police have made an arrest in the stabbing death of a transgender woman in the Frankford section of Philadelphia last month.

Investigators say around 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, February 20th, 25-year-old Mya Young was found with multiple stab wounds on the 4800 block of Penn Street.

Police took her to Aria Health Frankford, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

No further details have been released on the arrest.
