Suspect threatens to shoot woman during Queen Village robbery

QUEEN VILLAGE -- Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who threatened to shoot a woman during a robbery in the city's Queen Village section.

According to authorities, the 24-year-old female victim was walking north on the 700 block of South 4th Street around 6:45 a m.

Surveillance video shows an unknown Hispanic man running up to her from behind.

That's when police say the suspect placed his hands over her eyes and threatened to shoot her if she didn't give up her belongings.

The woman began to scream for help and the suspect ran away with her bag, which contained a MacBook Pro laptop with the serial number #C1MMCWLODTY3.

Also inside the bag were credit cards, the victim's wallet and $10 cash.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male around 6 foot tall. He was wearing a sweatsuit with a gray knit beanie hat and sneakers.

If you see this suspect do not approach him and contact 911 immediately.
