HOUSTON (WPVI) -- Four men are wanted for the robbery and assault of the son of basketball legend and former Philadelphia 76er Moses Malone.

Police say Malone Jr. was attacked outside of a Houston, Texas nightclub in June.

Malone Jr. claims his jewelry was stolen during the attack.

At least four of the men had guns, according to a Houston Police Department spokeswoman.

Malone Jr.'s attorney, George Farah, said the stolen David Yurman jewelry was worth about $15,000 and that the club security guards were complicit in the attack.

Carl A. Moore, who represents the club, V Live, says the claims that security guards did not help Malone Jr. are false.

Moses Malone Sr. died in September 2015 at the age of 60.

Malone, named one of the NBA's 50 greatest players, was the Finals MVP in 1983, as he led the Philadelphia 76ers to the title.
