Car crashes into utility pole in Burlington; power restored

BURLINGTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- A single vehicle crash knocked out power to 1500 PSEG customers in Burlington, New Jersey Wednesday morning.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. near East Broad and St. Mary streets.

The impact of the crash caused a utility pole to topple over, and land across the Riverline Light rail tracks.

A train traveling in the area following the vehicle crash, was unable to stop in time and struck the pole laying in the tracks.

One person in the car suffered minor injuries.

There were no injuries reported to passengers on the Light Rail train.

The trains were suspended in the area between Burlington Town Center and Florence, New Jersey.

They have since been restored along with the power to 1500 customers.
