HAVERTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- The government is forcing Chipotle to change a few of its rules for workers because some of them violate labor laws.

It's the result of a case that started here in our area.

The National Labor Relations Board ruled Chipotle can no longer ban workers from criticizing the company on social media.

It also has to change its ban stopping workers from talking about politics and religion, and it has to let workers pass around petitions for better working conditions.

This case started when James Kennedy, an employee from Havertown, was ordered to delete critical tweets.

Kennedy was fired a month later.

Under this ruling, Chipotle has to rehire him and give him back pay.
