Funeral plans set for NJ State trooper killed in crash

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 12, for rookie New Jersey State Trooper Frankie Williams, who was killed in a violent wreck while responding to a call for help.

A viewing for family and friends will be held from 8-10 a.m. at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. A viewing for law enforcement will take place from 10 a.m. to noon.

His funeral will follow at 12 p.m., and will also be held at the hall.

A New Jersey state police trooper and another driver were killed in this crash in Millville, New Jersey on December 5, 2016.

The 31-year-old rookie was killed Monday night responding to reports of a driver moving erratically when a car fitting the description of that vehicle slammed into Williams' police cruiser.

The driver of the Toyota was also killed.

A vigil for Williams was held Thursday night at the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Department.
