PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Temple University has named Dave Gerson the new S.W.A.G. Coordinator for Temple Football.

That's because the former graduate assistant is the first ever S.W.AG. Coordinator in all of college football.

Now, S.W.A.G. Coordinator has nothing to do with free merchandise or the way someone walks; it is about the image of Temple Football.

To be formal, Gerson's official title is Multimedia Coordinator/Specialist With Advanced Graphics.

According to Owl Sports, Gerson will "develop and showcase an array of graphic designs for social media, meeting presentations, brochures, and wall displays."

Gerson, from Doylestown, Bucks County, will also "personally assist head coach Geoff Collins with Temple Football's presentation to fans and recruits."

Following an ESPN alert on Gerson's new position, Coach Collins tweeted, "This is big time!" and that Gerson is "the truth," with the T stylized as the T in Temple.

In response, Philadelphia native, Temple grad, and ESPN SportsCenter anchor Kevin Negandhi wrote "That's a heckuva title. Congrats to Dave on being the first in college football."

This is the Gerson's seventh season with the Owls.

He also served as the team's student assistant in video.

He earned his bachelor's degree from Temple in 2015 and is now going for his master's in sports business.

Prior to attending Temple University, Gerson graduated from Central Bucks East High in 2011.
