2 women, 1 man sought in string of robberies in Philadelphia and Upper Darby
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police in Philadelphia have joined Delaware County authorities in the search for two women and a man suspected in a string of violent robberies.
Three of the robberies happened in Upper Darby and two in Philadelphia. One of them was captured on newly released surveillance video.
"We are asking for the public's help in identifying these individuals," said Philadelphia Police Lt. John Walker. "Obviously they've gotten more aggressive in the course of the few days that they've been out here."
Philadelphia Police say the trio held up a Domino's Pizza delivery driver on June 21st in the 6400 block of Race Street and stole his gray Hyundai Sonata sedan.
Investigators believe they later used that stolen vehicle during a robbery in the unit block of Kent Street.
The victim in that case was an 86-year-old grandmother who is visiting from Ecuador.
The Hyundai was later found crashed, on June 24th, along North 62nd Street with no occupants inside.
Two days later, police say, another Domino's driver was robbed and his Volvo stolen.
Police believe there may be a fourth suspect, a getaway driver, who has been involved in these robberies.
Anyone who recognizes the suspects caught on camera, or who has information about any of the robberies, is asked to contact Philadelphia or Upper Darby police.
