2 women rescued from 2-alarm Gloucester City fire

GLOUCESTER CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Two women were rescued from a two alarm house fire in Gloucester City, New Jersey.

It happened around 11:45 Friday morning in the 300 block of Highland Boulevard.

Firefighters pulled a 67-year-old woman from the burning home. She was taken to Cooper University Hospital in critical condition.

A 27-year-old woman was also rescued. She was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

The fire was placed under control within 30 minutes.

No word on the exact cause but officials have deemed the fire accidental.
