Pedestrian struck after exiting bus, walking on I-95

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- A person was struck by a car after exiting a bus at a Newark, Delaware rest stop on I-95.

The crash happened around 12:23 p.m. Sunday.

Action News is told the person had just exited a Greyhound bus and attempted to walk across the southbound lanes of I-95.

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene.

The crash resulted in multiple southbound lanes of I-95 to be closed in the area.
