Mayor Kenney announces a new effort to help young people find employment

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- The City of Philadelphia has launched a new effort to help young people find employment.

Mayor Kenney was part of an announcement on Tuesday by Philadelphia Works inc. here in Center City.

It's a $6,000,000 dollar youth employment initiative, in which the city will contract with local employers, who will target four different groups of young adults, for hiring.

Such as those with autism or development disabilities, or young adults who've been in and out of the court system, or foster care programs and young people who've graduated from career and technical programs.
