Girl Scout cookie season draws near; local scout leader gets large delivery

FAIRMOUNT (WPVI) -- Girl Scout cookie season officially gets underway in about a week.

In preparation for the big event, a moving van packed with cookies was delivered to a local scout leader's home in Philadelphia's Fairmount section Wednesday night.

Volunteers worked together to unload more than 12,000 boxes of cookies.
