WEST READING, Pa. (WPVI) -- It was a coating of snow that fell on West Reading Tuesday morning. Much of it already gone by the afternoon as the region waits for round two of wintry weather.

The first round did create some problems on the roads north and west of our region, primarily because of its arrival during the morning rush.

"We did have some weather on the roadways, down in the Lehigh Valley, up north in the Poconos got it a little worse," said Sean Brown with PennDOT. "It did create some slick conditions so we had crews out there. We'll have crews on shift throughout today into tomorrow."

The area remains under a winter weather advisory. By this time Wednesday, it's expected that 2 to 4 inches of snow will have fallen on these parts.

PennDOT officials are urging commuters not to underestimate the danger of driving during a snow event. In other words, please take it slow.

"If you see weather out there, snow coming down, it can be slick," said Brown. "Just remember to drive appropriate."
