3 suspects sought in home invasion, robbery in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State police are investigating a home invasion and robbery in north Wilmington, Delaware.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 1800 block of Foulk Road.

A 41-year-old man responded to a knock at his door and was confronted by two males.

Police say the two males were armed with guns.

The victim and the suspects then became involved in a physical confrontation.

The man was struck several times with the suspect's weapon.

During the altercation, a shot was fired from one of the suspect's guns into the floor.

That's when the victim fled to the second floor of the home.

Police say the suspects got away with an unknown amount of money before fleeing.

They were last seen running across Foulk Road to a waiting white vehicle, driven by a third suspect.

The victim sustained multiple non-life threatening injuries. He refused treatment at the scene.

Two of the suspects were described as black males.

One was 5'10"-6'00" tall with a light goatee style mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a navy blue baseball cap.

The second suspect was 5'07"-5'08" tall and weighed 160-165 lbs.

The third suspect, the driver of the vehicle was only described as a white male.

Police are investigating.
