31-year-old Delaware hit and run victim dies

WILMINGTON (WPVI) -- The victim involved in a hit and run last week in Wilmington, Delaware has died.

Police say 31-year-old Brian James was trapped inside his car after an SUV slammed into him on Pennsylvania Avenue and Broom Streets last Sunday.

James was rushed to Christiana Hospital where he died on Wednesday.

Friends and family have set up a roadside memorial for James near the accident site.

Police say charges are pending against the driver of the SUV, who ran away from the scene.
