Muscle loss in aging tied to nerve loss
Muscle loss in aging tied to nerve loss: Ali Gorman reports during Action News at 5pm on March 14, 2018.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- If your legs are getting weaker as you get older, you're not alone and British researchers believe it's due to a loss of nerves.

In tests, they found that young adults have 60 to 70 thousand nerves controlling leg movement, but that number drops nearly a third by age 75.

It drops even more in adults who aren't physically active.
