Man shot, critically wounded in Frankford

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 29-year-old man is fighting for his life after he was shot three times on a Philadelphia street.

It happened in the 5200 block of Hawthorne Street in the city's Frankford section.

Police say the victim was hit in back, shoulder and side.

He was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.

Detectives are working to determine who shot the man and why.
