PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Developing diabetes after the age of 50 could be an early sign of pancreatic cancer.
A team looking for clues on early pancreatic cancer discovered that those who developed diabetes were more than twice as likely to develop cancer.
It generally came within 3 years after the diabetes diagnoses.
The researchers now urge careful monitoring for newly-diagnosed diabetics over 50.
