Suspect sought in North Philadelphia shooting

Police are on the hunt for a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in North Philadelphia.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are on the hunt for a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in North Philadelphia.

The incident happened on December 23.

The suspect was caught on surveillance riding a bicycle up to a business on the 3500 block of Germantown Avenue around 10 a.m.

He briefly walks into the business, takes a look around and then leaves.

After spending some time pacing outside up and down the block, he hides behind a vehicle while waiting for the victim to exit the business.

As the victim walks out the door, the man then pulls out a handgun and fires several shots before fleeing the scene.

The victim was transported to Temple Hospital with two gunshot wounds to the stomach.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 25-30 years old with a medium build, dark complexion and beard. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket.
