Suspect wanted in Strawberry Mansion burglary

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who burglarized a discount store in the city's Strawberry Mansion section early Saturday morning.

It happened at 2:30 a.m. inside the Dauphin Discount store on the 2800 block of West Dauphin Street.

Investigators say the thief broke into the store through a rear wall.

Once inside, he stole various items before escaping in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 35-45 years-old with a beard. He was wearing a dark colored hooded jacket and a dark colored baseball cap.
