Food market in South Philadelphia robbed at gunpoint

Police are on the hunt for a suspect who held up a mini market at gunpoint in South Philadelphia.

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are on the hunt for a robbery suspect who held up a mini market at gunpoint in South Philadelphia.

It happened on January 22 inside the Feng Hong Mini Market on the 2100 block of South 10th Street.

The man was captured on surveillance walking into the store at 9 p.m. and pointing a handgun at two employees behind the counter.

After demanding cash, the robber fled the scene south on 10th Street towards Jackson Street.

There were no injuries reported during this robbery.

The suspect is described as a male of unknown race, 5'8" tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark colored mask, dark colored hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, grey sweatpants and gloves.
