WASHINGTON (WPVI) -- It's no use crying over spilled milk, but what about spilled beer?

An NBA game between the Brooklyn Nets and Washington Wizards was delayed during the first quarter Saturday night after a player could not put the brakes on fast enough.

When Nets center Mason Plumlee chased after a ball that was going out of bounds, he knocked over a vendor in the process.

At the time, the vendor, Deila Barr, was carrying a tray of cups filled with beer.

Gravity then took over.

The beer spilled onto the floor as well as onto some courtside fans.

The announcers provided some play-by-play:

"They wasted the whole thing."

"Talk about Miller time."

The Wizards, meanwhile, won the game 114-77.

It's not clear if the fans who were doused toasted the victory.
