A major drug smuggling operation that funneled heroin, cocaine and meth throughout Berks and Lehigh County is now out of business.
Officers took six men into custody Tuesday following an investigation that began last July.
Investigators say the suspects shipped the drugs from Mexico to reading where they would be broken down and distributed.
This continued for several months.
On Tuesday, investigators got word of another transfer occurring at a lot at 11th and Richmond.
Officers at the scene spotted the six suspects and white Audi.
A search of the car revealed bags of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine along with cash and guns.
All six men are being held on $1-million bail each.
