Woman injured in house blaze in NE Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A woman in her 40's was injured in a house fire in Northeast Philadelphia Saturday morning.

The fire broke out around 11:15 a.m. on the 2700 block of Meyer Place.

Firefighters arrived to heavy smoke coming from inside the house.

They were able to get the blaze under control quickly.

The victim was taken to Frankford Aria Hospital in critical condition.

So far, there is no word on what caused the blaze.

The victim's name has not released.
