11 students hurt in Gloucester Twp. school bus crash

GLOUCESTER TWP. (WPVI) -- Police say 11 students were injured in a crash involving a school bus and an SUV on Thursday morning in Gloucester Township, New Jersey.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. on Berlin-Cross Keys Road at Kearsley Road.

The students were being take to the Camden County Technical School when the crash occurred.

The initial report by investigators suggests the bus, from T&L Transportation in Gibbsboro, was making a left-hand turn when it sideswiped the passing SUV.

There were a total of 39 students on board. The 11 students injured were taken to the hospital for neck and back pain. Police say all of their injuries are minor, and they were expected to be treated and released.

The driver of the SUV was also taken to the hospital for neck pain.

Berlin-Cross Keys Road was closed for about an hour following the crash.

No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
