1 injured in North Philadelphia house fire

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One person was injured in a house fire in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the 3500 block of North Philip Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters were met with smoke coming from the second floor of the two-story home.

One person had to be rescued from inside. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

The fire was brought under control in less than 25 minutes.

No word what sparked the flames.
