If you're eagerly awaiting a summer vacation, but trying to squeeze one into your budget we've got you covered!

What's the deal with the best destinations on a dime?

Rich Seaney, CEO of FareCompare.com, says with airlines merging left and right, there are many deals if you plan to travel this summer.

Some of the best airline deals in the United States can be found on flights to Boston and Washington D.C.

If you're planning to visit Miami, Florida Seaney says to also search flights to Ft. Lauderdale for the best deal since the cities are just 25 miles apart.

He also says the best deals come after June 1st, when some travelers worry about hurricane season.

Thanks to the fact that Southwest is based in Dallas, Texas, Seaney says non stop flights there are at an all-time low.

Alaska Airlines is also offering reasonable fares to Seattle, Washington.

If you are planning a trip overseas, consider Dublin, Ireland or Milan, Italy - both of which just earned a best-value destination designation.

Finally, Norwegian Air is offering great deals on flights to Scandinavian cities like Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm.
