Gunmen rob grocery store in Burlington County

Police are searching for a trio of armed suspects who robbed a Burlington County grocery store on Friday night.

MAPLE SHADE, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police are searching for a trio of armed suspects who robbed a Burlington County grocery store on Friday night.

The robbery happened just after 9 p.m. at the Aldi Food Store on the 400 block of Route 38 West in Maple Shade, New Jersey.

According to authorities, the suspects struck at closing time with two employees and two customers inside the store.

After fighting with one customer who refused to be forced into a back office, the three gunmen fled with over $3,500 cash towards the Buttonwood Court Apartments.

Cinnaminson Police K9s tried to track them but were unsuccessful.

The first suspect is described as a black male wearing a gray hoody, white Phillies ball cap and dark pants with a bandana on his face.

The second suspect is described as a white male wearing dark clothing and a backpack.

The third suspect was wearing dark clothing and gloves.
