Special Olympics in Delaware receives $11K donation

TALLEYVILLE, Del. (WPVI) -- The Special Olympics chapter in Delaware received a very special donation.

Representatives from the New Castle County Firefighters Association, the Fire Police Association, the Fire Chiefs Association and the Ladies Auxiliary presented the organization with a $11,700 check on Thursday.

They raised the money over a period of time through various events.

To top things off, a fire helmet was presented to special Olympian Matt Montgomery.

And the Talleyville Fire Company named him an honorary fire chief.
