House fire in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Crews were called to battle a house fire in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 6:15 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of North Newkirk Street.

Arriving crews were met with flames coming from a two-story home.

It took crews about a half hour to get the upper hand.

Fortunately there were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
