Car crashes through window of West Philadelphia elementary school

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A car crashed through the window of an elementary school in West Philadelphia on Monday evening.

The crash happened at the Blankenburg Elementary School at Marion and Girard shortly after 8 p.m.

The female driver was seriously injured.

Police say she suffered two broken ankles, two broken wrists and a broken leg. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
