Man critical in Southwest Philadelphia shooting

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man was hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting in Southwest Philadelphia.

The incident was reported around 2:20 p.m. Saturday in the 6800 block of Elmwood Avenue.

Police say a man in his 20s was shot in the stomach. He was taken to Penn-Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.

A car was reportedly seen fleeing the scene after the shooting. Police have not yet released a vehicle description.

No word on a motive or any possible suspects.

Police are investigating.
